According to reports, the members were returning from a funeral in Asante Bekwai when the Yutong bus with registration number GT 4035 – 16 carrying over 50 members was gutted by fire.
It is not clear what might ignited the fire but one of the survivors spoke to Adom News said, the bus caught fire immediately after one of its back tyres got burst.
Luckily, she noted that no one on board the vehicle got injured even though they panicked and rushed out of the vehicle.
