Kwahu - Obo Township and Kwahu Ridge Senior High Technical School ( Kristech) in the the Eastern region for the passed decade is in a water crises.
Speaking to Nana Yeboah Afari Obourgyan ll and also Kwahu Nifa Hene said for a decade till now water is a challenge to the whole Township of OBO, Nana said the Town rely on lake KORAFO but in a dry season it dried. In his statement said the water crises situation has enhance Kristech Students to be roaming ambassadors in the Town as an excuse. Nana is appealing to the new government and appointed Eastern regional minister Hon. Eric Daffour to solve the water situation in the Town and it environs,
The assembly man of the area Hon, Kojo Tinkoran has also lamented on the critical water crises and has appealed to immediate solution as on their campaign has promised to solve the issue. Hon. Assembly man said a sedimentary rock within the Town provides the people water but it takes about 24 hours to get a bucket of water. He said the Town and Secondary School is on a timing bomb of water crises.
The headmistress of Kristech also added that the School rely on water tankers to supply the students and the Kitchen duties. She said the students buys a bucket of water for 50.GH pesewas.
